I made these for a friend's Dad. It was his birthday and he loves Koi fish. Used regular Cricut vinyl! I also ended up making some for family, too, so I used the bamboo. I also made Chinese New year envelopes around the same time. I love making homemade gifts!

Tea Cup favor take 1!
So this was a favor I made from the TBBM2 cartridge. It was tough! It took me a few trys, but here it is! I'm going to play with this more to see if I can get it to look more "seamless" but for now, this is it! The only thing I think I need to do is invest in an expression machine so I can make things bigger, but I won't do that until I'm done with grad school.
Sorry I've been MIA!
It's been a while since I actually created something useful! Now that the summer here and I have a few weeks of NOT doing school work, here are some of the creations I've made. I purchased the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge and love it so far! It's a small pain to change out the scoring blade and the cutting blade, but it's worth it for the more intricate cuts/scores. I found that the gable boxes don't need the score blade - you can use a bone folder and it's equally as fast because you would spend the same amount of time changing out the blade instead of scoring it on your own. Please excuse the bottom picture - it was the prototype and you can see little tape sticking out =/

Fun with bows
I saw this on October Afternoon's website and had to try it. It was a great craft to do after being craftless for about a month. You can stick it on gift bags, make different sizes, custom colors, anything you want! The best part - I can make matching bags and tags using paper I already have! I'm trying really hard not to buy new stuff. I want to use my old stuff first! Enjoy!

Turkey Take Out Boxes!
I made this box using the Sweet Tooth Cartridge. I made the turkey by cutting out hearts and a circles (some were Creative Memories punches, but you can also just make them on your Cricut using George and Basic Shapes). This was on the original bug at 5 1/2. I used the Glue Glider Pro to assemble and craft wire for the handle. You can make this box for any holiday!

Post it covers packaged!
I packaged up the post it covers I made and will give them out for Christmas! You can do any occasion for the sentiment. The best part - I didn't have to buy any additional paper! The only thing I bought for this project were the post its! I purchased the cello bags really cheap from a website I found called Gifts International (100 bags for 78 cents!!!). Not sure if the bags are FDA approved just as an FYI. Printed the sentiment and edged with different color inks and markers. If I had more time, I could also make another die cut to put on the side.

$10.00 Leis!
These are eye lash leis! My aunty taught me how to make them. They are great for graduations, birthday's, and any other special occasions. The only thing I would not recommend them for are baby showers. In my family (and probably lots of others from Hawaii) believe that pregnant ladies should not wear any type of closed rope like things around their necks so they babies don't get anything around their neck while in their tummies if you catch my drift. My sister couldn't even wear necklaces.
If they make the yarn in a certain color, I can turn it in to a lei for you. It's $10 for one lei. They are long and go mid-chest. I'll post a picture of an actual person wearing it, but for now, my puppy was the only one home to model it for me.

More post it covers!
Since I have the cut file made, it's really easy to do these in bulk. I played around with some acetate for a window, embossed stamping images, and glossy accent product. I even used some die cut (by Jolee) that I had that I won't use in my scrapbooks! I'm glad I found something to use it on!
Post it covers
I know I haven't posted much lately, but I haven't had much time to craft. In any case, I am still continuing to post things I make so here is the latest project =) These are post it covers! Vince used the Cricut Design Studio to make the cut file and this is the cutest thing ever! These make great gifts and I can customize them! This is for 3x3, 100 sheet post its.

This used to be a Trader Joe's paper bag
I will probably never do this again. I had to cover each panel and then trim with ribbon. I don't have really thick double sided tape so I had to use the glue gun and a lot of hand pressing - it got a little hot! I had no bigger bags in the house so I had to improvise. Also, the tag (where the number 1 is) actually holds the gift receipt on the back. It acts as a little envelope. Enjoy! Tressi

More gift bags and a wine gift box! The cylinder was an old promo box from a friend and she was going to toss it. A tested it out and a wine bottle fit perfectly in the box! I used the word escape from the life's a beach cart. I don't drink anymore, but usually when people drink wine, it is to relax right??? I provided some close up pictures. Credit to Vince for picking out the the color contrast.
